These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
3. Description of service
North Star is a free career-clarity platform for fresh graduates in India. The service includes:
- A trait-based assessment that generates a personal career profile
- Matching to live third-party job listings ranked by fit
- Role-specific preparation guidance and resources
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under applicable law to use North Star. By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
5. Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You may maintain only one account. You agree not to share your account credentials or let others access your account.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use North Star lawfully and in good faith. You must not:
- Misuse, disrupt, or attempt to break the security of the service
- Scrape, crawl, or automatically collect data from the platform without permission
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
7. Job listings disclaimer
Job listings displayed on North Star come from third-party sources. North Star does not employ, endorse, or guarantee any employer or role. We do not guarantee that any listing is current, accurate, or still open. We are not responsible for the outcome of any application or for any dealings between you and an employer.
You apply to jobs at your own discretion, directly on the employer's site. Always verify details independently before applying.
8. No guarantee of results
North Star provides guidance and matches but does not guarantee a job, an interview, or any particular outcome. The trait assessment and recommendations are informational tools, not professional career counselling or legal advice.
9. Intellectual property
The North Star name, logo, content, and platform are owned by the operator. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from them without prior written permission.
10. Service availability
North Star is provided "as is" and "as available." We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operator of North Star shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of this free service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
12. Termination
You may delete your account and stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in harmful conduct.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
